21 Hats Live: We're Going to Ann Arbor!

A group photo of the 21 Hats Live attendees in Chicago.

We will have peer-group conversations on the issues you want to discuss. We will tour local businesses. We will eat good food. We will build relationships. And we’ll leave inspired.

By Loren Feldman

Once again, there will be no speakers, only participants, all of whom will help choose our discussion topics. Once again, we’ll be joined by the 21 Hats Podcast regulars, and we’ll record a podcast with everyone’s participation. Once again, the number of attendees will be limited to make sure everyone has a chance to compare notes, make connections, and build relationships. And once again, we’ll get an inside look at several local businesses, including  Zingerman’s and Motawi Tileworks. As you may know, Zingerman’s was Bo Burlingham’s original Small Giant and Nawal Motawi’s tile operation is a very cool place to experience.

The next 21 Hats Live event will take place in Ann Arbor, Michigan, running from Wednesday afternoon, May 14, through lunch on Friday, May 16.  This will be our third 21 Hats Live Event. If you haven’t attended one, you can read about the first one in Chicago and the second one In Fort Worth. And here are a few testimonials:

“Thanks to you, Loren, and the amazing group of business leaders, we all were able to have a great time together—sharing challenges, feeling a bit less alone, and having more hope to able to successfully tackle the challenges of leadership and entrepreneurship.” — Chris Hutchinson

“SOOOO, much fun. The event and the people there helped me solve a really big dilemma. Loren Feldman has managed to build a community of high-integrity, high-authenticity go-getters. Hanging with like-minded people was priceless from a social and business perspective.” — Dr. Tricia Groff

“Loren has such an interesting mix of people. I’m looking around the room, and there’s something really weird happening here. And what it was is that, first time in my entire life where I was in some kind of business situation, there were more women than men. And a huge shoutout to Loren for being able to find a diverse group of people to get together that really reflects what the future of business is going to look like.” — Paul Downs

“What a well planned event. I left feeling more confident and connected to a great community of entrepreneurs.” — Sarah Segal

“It was a treat to spend time with such a varied group of small business owners like the one gathered in Fort Worth! I loved the breadth of experience in the room: From those just starting a new venture (not necessarily their first), to seasoned owners who’ve been in business for decades and have an eye on their exit. It was also enlightening to hear different ideas from folks in a number of different industries. The conversation surrounding AI alone was priceless.” — Barbara Taylor

“I don’t know how anyone could leave this event without an insight, an idea, an inspiration, a connection that makes a difference. When I think about all the stupid shit I did for years, one conversation could have saved me years of grief. I’ve never sat with 10 fellow business owners in the trenches and not walked away with something valuable.” — Jay Goltz
